Restore Strong Military

In order to protect our nation we must strengthen and rebuild our military. This task is imperative to accomplish the goal of facing and vanquishing terrorism. We must end sequestration. We must eliminate all pursuits that do not improve combat effectiveness. This includes reinstituting the exemption of women assigned to direct ground combat units. Social experimentation within the military must stop.

Stop Illegal Immigration

President Teddy Roosevelt said “We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an American and assimilates himself to us he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin. But this is predicated upon the man’s becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American. If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn’t doing his part as an American. There can be no divided allegiance here… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one sole loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people.” As the only son of immigrants, I learned to speak English in a home where English was not our first language. We never considered ourselves to be anything but American, and I felt obligated to serve my country for 10 years as an active duty Marine Officer. A nation without borders and laws is not a nation. A nation that fails to look out for the interests of its citizens is not a nation to be respected. We must immediately secure our borders and emphatically enforce our standing immigration laws. In addition, we must defund sanctuary cities, implement a strong e-verify system for legal visa holders, and end birthright citizenship.

Stand up for Veterans

As a combat veteran of the USMC and a Life member of VFW, I will be an unwavering voice for our active duty military, reservists, and veterans. As co-founder of the Wounded Heroes Foundation I have personally visited our war wounded and assisted them on their road to recovery. Our commitment to our military men and women does not cease when their active service to our country ends. Caring for our veterans must remain a top priority in Congress.

Protect the 1st Amendment

I am committed to protecting the First Amendment rights of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of the press, freedom of peaceable assembly, and freedom to petition the government. These basic rights are the bedrock of our nation and insure the peaceful exchange of ideas. I will support legislation that protects religious liberty.

Protect the 2nd Amendment

Self-defense is the ultimate right of all individuals to preserve life and liberty. The right to keep and bear arms is the basic implementation of a person or people’s self defense against aggression of any kind. As a lifetime member of the NRA and a combat veteran, no one understands this responsibility to defend and uphold the Second Amendment more than I do.

Defend Life and Defend Traditional Family Values

For years I have actively worked in defense of the sanctity of human life. I sat on the national advisory board for The Women’s Center in Chicago. My family and I have provided volunteer and material support to crisis pregnancy centers in Pensacola, Orlando, California, and Illinois. When elected I will support legislation that stops federal funding to all entities that perform abortions. I will fight to protect the traditional values of the family that are under constant attack.

Balance The Budget

In order to fix the economy and reduce national debt, we must balance the budget and reign in wasteful spending.

Repeal ObamaCare

We must repeal ObamaCare swiftly and in its entirety. ObamaCare is a glaring contradiction to our capitalistic economic system, is burdensome for businesses to implement, and it must be defunded.

Stop Common Core

I am for the immediate repeal of the Common Core program. It is a “one size fits all-- education without representation” national education agenda imposed on the American people through threats and intimidation. I believe our students are best served when education is left to local control.
